PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains what information Onyx2D (“we,” “us”) collects when you use the game and related services at onyx2d.io (the “Service”), and how we use it.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

• Account data. Anonymous account ID; optional email and password hash; optional Google account ID; optional Discord user ID and display name if you link Discord.
• Profile & progress. Player name, crystal color, XP, credits/coins, daily missions, and similar game progress.
• Gameplay & session data. Connection to game servers, party/lobby activity, and match-related events needed to run multiplayer (for example match results used to update progress).
• Technical data. IP address, browser/device info, and request logs as processed by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security, rate limiting, and reliability.
• Local device data. Auth tokens and settings (volume, keybinds, preferences) stored in your browser’s local storage.

We do not intentionally collect payment card data. We do not sell your personal information.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

• Provide, operate, and secure the Service (accounts, matchmaking, saves, anti-abuse).
• Send transactional email when needed (email verification, password reset).
• Improve reliability and diagnose issues.
• Enforce our Terms of Service.

3. THIRD PARTIES

• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, Workers, storage, and email delivery infrastructure.
• Google — optional Google sign-in / account linking (Google’s privacy policy applies to their processing).
• Discord — optional Discord account linking (Discord’s privacy policy applies to their processing).

We do not use third-party advertising trackers on the Service.

4. RETENTION

We keep account and profile data while your account is active. Unlinked anonymous accounts that stay idle for a long period may be deleted. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations. You can clear local browser storage yourself at any time.

5. CHILDREN

The Service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13, contact us and we will delete it.

6. YOUR CHOICES

• Play anonymously without linking email, Google, or Discord.
• Unlink or stop using optional sign-in providers.
• Clear local storage / cookies in your browser to remove local tokens and settings.
• Request account or data deletion by contacting us (see below).

7. SECURITY

We use reasonable technical measures (including encrypted transport and hashed passwords) to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING

The Service is hosted on Cloudflare’s global network. Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live.

9. CHANGES

We may update this Policy by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
